Description
Experience the amazing transformation of a dart frog from tadpole to froglet in this fun, hands-on class! Whether you're new to dart frogs or looking to build your confidence, you'll learn everything you need to successfully raise a healthy tadpole through metamorphosis.
During the class, our presenters will demonstrate how to build a simple temporary grow-out container and cover the essentials of tadpole care, including water quality and water changes, feeding schedules and proper portions, the dart frog life cycle, and the signs to watch for as your tadpole develops. You'll also learn what to expect during metamorphosis and how to prepare for the transition to a terrestrial habitat.
Each participant will receive:
- One captive-bred dart frog tadpole
- Tadpole food
- Instructions for ongoing care
